Abstract

The problem which commonly occurs during the Arabic learning in MI Maarif Krakal Kebumen there is not media wich is used to as learning media, even lack of media. It can be seen from the absence of supporter media such as projector and LCD. Learning wich is not interesting, gets students being not active in the process of learning in the class. Teachers haven‟t found the suitable media as the tool of Arabic learning. Then, to overcome the problem, the observer developed a media in form of thematic video to ease student in increasing their Maharah Kalam. The purposes of this research are (1) Knowing the development of thematic video in Maharah Kalam learning for fourth grade students of MI Maarif Krakal Kebumen, (2) Knowing the effectives of thematic video as the media in learning Maharah Kalam for fourth grade students of MI Maarif Krakal Kebumen. The method used in this research and development is Brog & Gall method. The procedure is (1) Research and infromation collecting, (2) Planning, (3) initial product development (4) Design validation (5) design revision, (6) product trial, (7) initial product revision, (8) usage test, (9) final product revision, (10) product implementation. The research shows that thematic video has been developed based on 10 steps of procedure which has been recommended by Borg & Gall. The product has resulted validation from several trusted parties. Validation from media expert is B (good). Validation from material expert is B (good). Validation from teacher is B (good). According to the research and the result, the product of thematic video is xii proper to be used for learning Maharah Kalam fourth grade students MI Maarif Krakal Kebumen. Based on the experiment, the researcher spotted that there's a difference between the pre-test and post-test. from the hypothesis analyzing or both average difference experiment, the researcher got tcount = 3.601 > ttable=2,048. Because it is in refusal area Ho, hypothesis stated that "Development thematic video in Learning Maharah Kalam for Fourth Grade Students of MI Maarif Krakal Kebumen" is accepted and thematic video is effective as the media in learning Maharah Kalam for fourth grade Students of MI Maarif Krakal Kebumen.
