Abstract

This research aims to (1) Obtaining the quality of the module being developed (2) Obtaining the response from students on small field test and large field test of the module developed (3) Obtaining the results of the module enforceability test developed. This research is a research and Development (R&D) research. The development is done using 4-D research model covering 4 main steps, namely (1) Define (2) Design (3) Development (4) Disseminate. This research is done until Development steps in development testing. The research istruments are validation sheet, assessment sheet, and enforceability observation sheet. The quality of module used Likert scale with a scale of 4 and student response used Guttman scale, both are in checklist forms. While the enforceability of the module uses the Guttman scale with descriptive form observation. The result of this research is sound waves physics module integrated with gamelan culture for XIth grade Science 2nd semester. The quality of module based on the results of the assessment of material experts, graphic experts, and physics teachers had an excellent category (SB) with mean score 3.49, 3.39, and 3.92. Student’s responses on small field test and large field test has shown their values of 0.91 and 0.91. The results of the final module’s enforceability of the module by the observer are the module is able to make the majority of students interested in learning physics, but there are 2 students who are still not interestedin learning physics using module, then from 25 respondents 17 stated to have passed the KKM while 8 of them did not pass the KKM.
