Abstract

The aim of This research is to Get some information: (1) The Effect of student perceptions about the teacher's teaching method to reading skills of Arabic text. (2) The Effect of learning motivation on the reading skills of Arabic text. (3)The Effect of students' perceptions of teacher teaching methods and motivation to study together to read Arabic text. The research method used is quantitative, through correlational studies. The population of this study was seventh grade students of 12 Madiun MTsN. The sample in this study was all students of class VIIE. The instrument for collecting data is an oral test, by reading Arabic text. Then the student perception questionnaire about the teaching method and learning motivation questionnaire. For more information are interviews, observations and documentation. The technical analysis used is regression and correlation (simple, multiple). The results of the analysis are: (1) There is a effect students' perceptions of teaching methods to reading skills of Arabic language texts, found regression coefficient of 0.741 with R2 correlation coefficient of 0.730 at a significance level of 5% and found a relative contribution of 73% while the rest is influenced by other variable. (2) There is a effect learning motivation and reading skillsof Arabic language texts, found regression coefficient of 0.661 with r2 correlation coefficient of 0.623 at a significance level of 5% and found a relative contribution of 62.3% while the rest is influenced by other variables. (3) There is a effect students' perceptions of teaching methods and study together motivation with the reading skills Arabic language text, found regression coefficient of multiple regression student perceptions about teaching method at 0.628 and X2 learning motivation at 0.829 and find contribution coefficient of determination r2 of 0.578 means that the influence of independent variables X1 and X2 on the dependent variable Y is 57.8% while the rest is influenced by other variables.
