Abstract

Mass media has a power to influence social life. Every organization of mass media has their idealisme each other in the news to society. Therefore, this research have goals to knowing how the news about reporting on conflict between Driver Online and Conventional Transportation In Indonesia. This research used a qualitative descriptive research and the secondary data based. The sample used is reporting on conflict between Driver Online and Conventional Transportation in Indonesia on Kompas.com period March 2017. There are seven news samples that researchers use. This research uses analysis of Framing Model of Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki which uses syntactic, script, thematic and rhetorical structures. This framing analysis shows that Kompas.com show this news with use hot headline, even though the word or phrase used is negative. In the end, this news conflict was about the existence of social and economic jealousy and the egos of each party who felt right to defend their group, which was able to trigger ongoing conflicts.
