Abstract

Brigata Curva Sud is a soccer supporter who provided support to the PSS Sleman team and was established on February 5, 2011. Brigata Curva Sud is a football supporter who has high creativity and cohesiveness. The Curva Sud Brigata consists of more than 200 small communities in Yogyakarta. Not only creativity is shown by Brigata Curva, but cohesiveness and higher solidarity synergy for support workers by using many communication media. This study aims to analyze how Brigata Curva Sud's communication media as PSS Sleman football supporters in building group solidarity. Descriptive analysis of communication media Brigata Curva Sud uses studying group communication theory. Data sources were obtained through interviews, observation, and descriptive analysis. Then the data validity was sponsored by using the source data triangulation method. The results of the study explain the many uses of social media twitter, whatsapp, and websites as communication to increase group solidarity. Other communication processes to increase group solidarity through forums or meetings.
