Abstract

Juvenile delinquency is one of the social problems among the young generation. One of the socialproblems is case of premarital-sex that causes unwanted pregnancy until abortion. MAN 2 Yogyakarta is an Islamic-based school. The role of a teacher is needed for students to provide information about premarital-sex as a preventive effort. One of the way that counseling and guidance teacher in to prevent premarital-sex is persuasive communication using persuasive communicationtechniques. The purpose of this research is to describe how persuasive communication is used by counseling and guidance teacher in preventing premarital-sex. The type of research method is descriptive qualitative method with data collection through interviews, observation participants and documentation with purposive sampling technic. The result of this research is persuasive communication using persuasive communication techniques used by counseling and guidance teacher that lead to premarital sex through persuasive communication techniques have succeeded in make students stay away from premarital sex.
