Abstract

This research aims to (1) develop hydrostatic pressure props for visually impaired Students In MTs LB/A Yaketunis Yogyakarta, (2) find out the quality of hydrostatic pressure props for visually impaired Students In MTs LB/A Yaketunis Yogyakarta, (3) know the responses and implementation against of hydrostatic pressure props for visually impaired Students In MTs LB/A Yaketunis Yogyakarta. This research is research and development with procedural models which use the development of 4D (four-D). This model has steps namely define, design, develop and disseminate. Research is limited to stage develop, in main field testing. Data collection techniques are non-test with instruments in the form of validation sheets, assessment sheets, student response sheets and observation sheets. Product quality assessment uses a Likers scale with 4 scale made in the form of a checklist. Student response using the Guttman scale made in the form of a checklist, while for the observation sheet use a descriptive sheets. The result of this development research are (1) have been developed using hydrostatic pressure props with manuals for the use of visually impaired students in the MTs LB/A Yaketunis, (2) The quality of props according to physics experts, media experts and science teachers requested very good with a score of 3.50 3.75 and 3.33 respectively. The assessment of book-guides quality according to physics experts, media experts and science teachers states that very good scores 3.43, 3.75 and 3.57 respectively, (3) preliminary field test on student responses of props and guidebooks expressed agreement with scores of 0.94 and 0.81 respectively. main field testing on student responses of props and guidebooks expressed agreement with scores of 0.97 and 0.92 respectively.
