Abstract

The existence UIN Sunan Kalijaga’s Library in Yogyakarta, gives the user access to generation Z as users, according to differences in social practices. As well as developments in information technology in the digital era, through facilities, various unique and interesting activities program and library services that are integrated and utilize technology. The purpose of this study are to find out the policy of library development in UIN Sunan Kalijaga’s Yogyakarta Library, to identify what activities programs are developed by the library management of UIN Sunan Kalijaga’s Yogyakarta dealing with Generazian Z users, to know and analyze what strategies are used in the development of libraries for Generazian Z in the library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga’s Yogyakarta. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach method with data collection techniques are observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study reveal that the strategies carried out by UIN Sunan Kalijaga’s Yogyakarta Library in servicing Generazian Z are based on policies and program activities that have been carried out, they are: 1) implementing an open management system (open management) in each process of determining and planning libraries (2) procuring printed and electronic collections, (3) upgrading knowledge and capabilities of library human resources, both at home and abroad. (4) carrying out a variety of unique and interesting activities, but educating the users' knowledge, (5) implementing integrated digital technology-based services by utilizing the development of media convergence technology (6) room redesign and facilities to create learning commons (7) conducting socialization, promotion and publication through library social media.
