Abstract

This study aims to: (1) knowing the differences in learning motivation between groups that using the cooperative learning model type Snowball Throwing and Teams Game Tournament (TGT). (2) knowing the differences in learning outcomes between groups that using the cooperative learning model Snowball Throwing and Teams Game Tournament (TGT). This research is a quasi-experimental study using the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design method. The population in this study were all class VII Muuhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta Middle School 2017/2018 academic year. Sampling is done randomly with the sampling technique in the form of Simple Random Sampling. The results of this study are (1) there is no difference in learning motivation between classes taught by applying the type VII cooperative learning model Snowball Throwing and Teams Game Tournament (TGT) in Yogyakarta 3 Muhammadiyah Middle School with the integration-interconnection approach. This can be seen from the Asymp value. sig. (2-tailed) of 0.483 (Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed)> 0.05), so that H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected. (2) there are differences in learning outcomes between classes taught by applying the type VII cooperative learning model Snowball Throwing and Teams Game Tournament (TGT) Yogyakarta 3 Muhammadiyah Middle School to the solar system material with an interconnection-interconnection approach. This can be seen from the Asymp value. sig. (2-tailed) of 0,000 (Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) <0.05), so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted
