Abstract

This research aims to: (1) Generate rigid body equilibrium practical tools using Arduino Uno devices. (2) Determine the quality of rigid object equilibrium practical tools based on Arduino Uno. (3) Knowing the response and performance to rigid equilibrium properties based on Arduino Uno. This research is a research and development research. This development refers to a procedural model. This development research procedure is based on the Borg and Gall model which includes 10 primer steps, however the research was carried out to the seventh step, which was the implementation of product revisions as the results were tested in the major field. The assessment instruments were in the form of validation sheets, assessment sheets, student response sheets and study implementation sheets. Product quality assessment using the Likert scale with 4 scales and student response sheets using the Guttman scale made in the form of a checklist. There is also a practice sheet implementation tool using a descriptive observation sheet. The results of the study are rigid body equilibrium practices for grade XI students of SMA N 2 Sleman and usage guidelines. The quality of practical tools based on the results of the assessment of media experts, material experts, and Physics teachers obtained the category of Excellent (SB) with average scores of 3.81, 3.66, and 3.8, respectively. Students‟ responses to the initial field test and broad field test with a mean score of 0.96 and 0.95, this second response obtained the Agree (S) category. Test the implementation of practical tools based on observers‟ observations on indicators of students‟ ability to apply practical tools, but still there were still students who asked how to calculate the force on theory, because the force description in the table with the data analysis was inappropriate. While the indicators of students‟ ability to assemble practical tools, there were students who asked for the way to arrange practical tools because the sample series of drawings was tiny. While the indicators that existed in the implementation test had been implemented well.
