Abstract

People with physical disabilities are vulnerable to self-acceptance problems because their different physical conditions. Gratitude is one of the factors related to self-acceptance. This study aims to determine the relationship of gratitude with self-acceptance among people with disabilities in Bantul. Subjects in this study were 35 disabled people living in Balai Rehabilitasi Terpadu Penyandang Disabilitas (BRTPD) Pundong, Bantul. Self Acceptance Scale and Gratefulness Scale used in this research. The analysis technique used is quantitative correlational. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive relationship between gratitude and self-acceptance in persons with disabilities. The results showed the hypothesis was accepted. There is a positive relationship between gratitude and self-acceptance (p <0.05 and r = 0.784).
