Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between Islamic belief and psychological well-being of Muslim students. The sample in this study are Muslim students in Yogyakarta with 209 students by quota sampling technic. Psychological well-being theory used Ryff’s theory and Islamic belief used al-Banna. Research measurement used psychological well-being scale which refers to Ryff’s theory and Islamic belief scale refers to al-Banna. Data were collected by scale of psychological well-being that has an alpha coefficient of 0,929 and a scale of Islamic belief that has an alpha coefficient of 0,892. Data analysis used spearman rho show correlation coefficient among(rxy) = 0,277, p = 0,000. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant positive relationship between Islamic belief and psychological well-being of Muslim students. The effective contribution of Islamic belief to psychological well-being is 8,1%.
