Abstract

The main problems faced by teachers in class I MI / SD are the characteristics of students who still need more attention and guidance than classroom teachers when they are in school. On the other hand the number of class I students who have too many populations in one class causes the class teacher to not be able to carry out learning activities to the fullest. The main focus of this research is on (a) how the characteristics of its implementation, (b) the form of implementation, and (c) the implementation techniques. To answer the three research questions, researchers used a qualitative approach to the type of case study. The main subjects of this study were regular teachers and accompanying teachers and several respondents who were related to the theme of the researcher. The theory used to analyze this researcher is that Friend and Cook theory states that collaborative teaching is a directed interaction model between at least two parties having similarities voluntarily participating in various decisions to achieve the same goal. First, the characteristics that arise in implementing collaborative teaching between regular teachers and accompanying teachers in SDIT Salsabila 3 Jurugentong include: (a) referring to the four teacher competencies, namely pedagogic, professional, personality and social competencies. (b) collaboration based on equality, (c) participants are not restricted, (d) collaborators share goals, (e) collaborators participate in decision making, (f) share resources and expertise. All these characteristics appear clearly in all activities that implement collaborative teaching. Second, the implementation of collaborative teaching takes the form of: (a) formal forms, namely collaborative activities carried out in a planned, measurable and systematic manner, with clear division of roles and responsibilities. This collaborative form occurs in activities, among others: muroja'ah or stabilization of memorization xi of the Koran letters, teaching and learning activities, and BTAQ activities (Al-Qur'an Reading). (b) Informal forms, namely collaborative activities carried out in an unplanned, unstructured or usually said way with spontaneous collaboration. This informal collaborative activity can be observed in congregational prayers, extra-curricular activities, activities outside the classroom such as when there are big events. Third, judging from the technique, the implementation of collaborative teaching occurs at the level of planning, implementation, and evaluation.
