Abstract

Society welfare is one of the keys to success in leadership. A good leader in leadership is needed, such as being able to do justice, prospering the society and realizing the promised work program during the campaign period. There are not a few cases in Indonesia regarding the neglect of the promised work program during the campaign period when he served as the regional leader. Each prospective regional leader has a vision and mission that will be achieved to lead his region in the future, either to improve something or even create a new breakthrough which is certainly beneficial for the region so that prosperity will be created. Talking about leadership is related to a thing that can build a homogeneous society by leaders in a heterogeneous area. Success in building a homogeneous society can affect the level of prosperity of the area. The Province of Bali is a heterogeneous society province with the majority embracing Hinduism (homogeneous) and is a province that is thick with local wisdom and culture. Balinese people, especially Hinduism, adhere to local wisdom, namely the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana as a way of life. Tri Hita Karana is interpreted as the three causes of happiness and the basis for getting happiness in life is if you are able to have a harmonious relationship with three elements, they are God, human, and nature. But this local wisdom begins to be degraded or elemental imbalances of three elements. The Governor of Bali, Koster-Ace, invites the people of Bali to always maintain the sanctity of nature and the harmony of Balinese through messages used both during the campaign period and also after serving as the Governor through social media there is Instagram. Related with the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana is a philosophy that exists and still embraced by Balinese people, especially Hinduism, one of them is a political figure who will also be seen the way of their communicates through account @gubenur.bali. Basically, this study is discusses and wants to know about culture or local wisdom, especially the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana in the Instagram content of account @gubernur.bali, and also wants to know difference of the messages during the campaign period and also after the selected as the Bali’s governor. This study is analyzes the contents of the post, they are photos, videos, and also messages (captions) contained in the post. The researcher chooses the photos or videos studied, starting from December 1, 2017 - June 31, 2018 and July 1, 2018 - December 31, 2018, for the result purpose of wanting to know the difference of messages regarding cultural and local wisdom during the campaign period and also after being selected as the Governor of Bali.
