Abstract

Social media had a rapid development so that it was widely used to carry out the Personal Branding process, one of which was used by public officials, Ridwan Kamil, who was famously active in using social media. This study described ridwankamil's personal branding using the local wisdom "silih asah silih asih silih asuh" on the @ridwankamil Instagram account in the span of 1 January - 31 December 2018 which was divided into two periods namely on 1 January - 31 June 2018 and 1 July - 31 December 2018. This research used quantitative analysis of content research with a total population of 1006 and 287 samples. The data collection method was documentation such as screen capture, photos, videos, IGTV in the @ridwankamil account. This research resulted the finding that on building personal branding using local wisdom, from the highest upload period January 1 to June 31 2018 was "Spesialisasi Behavior silih asah" with 33% of 144 uploads and in the period July 1 - December 31 2018 found that Ridwan Kamil built personal branding with the category "Spesialisasi Service silih asah" with 29 of 143 uploads.
