Abstract

Foreign exchange reserves is an important indicator in international trade. This study aims to analyze how is the influence of independent variables namely exports, imports, remittances, Foreign Direct investment (FDI) and foreign debt on foreign exchange reserves in 7 member countries of Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The analysis method used in this research is panel data regression (pooled data regression analysis), using data from 7 OIC member countries namely: Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan, Turkey. the time data used is from 1998 to 2017. The result of this study show that the variabel export, remittances, FDI, and foreign debt has a significant positive effect on foreign exchange reserves in 7 OIC member countries. While the variable Import has a significant negative effect on foreign exchange reserves in 7 OIC member countries. The conclusion of this research is that all the independent variables has effect on foreign exchange reserves in 7 OIC member countries.
