Along with the development and advancement of technology, electricity is one of the most important energy needs for the community. In the industrial sector, electricity is the main driving force behind the production process. In the future the need for electricity will continue to increase along with the increasing population, increasing investment in the future will lead to new industries. This study is aimed at identifying determining factors affecting the electricity demand for the industrial sector in Java and Sumatera. Factors to be assumed are: PDRB industrial sector (X1), number of electricity customers in the industrial sector (X2), industrial sector average selling prices (X3), Industrial Power Connected Electric Sector (X4). Sources of data are from PT PLN (Ltd), Central Statistic Office (BPS).There are 16 provinces in Java and Sumatera, used as 144 observations. Estimation method in this study is estimation using panel data (combination of data cross-section and time-series) with mode individual effect (fixed effect). The results of the partial analysis show that electricity demand in the industrial sector in Java and Sumatra is positively affected significantly by the connected power of the industrial sector, negatively affected significantly by the average electricity selling price of the industrial sector, while the PDRB variable of the industrial sector and the number of customers in industrial sector is not significantly influence electricity demand.
