Abstract

This thesis has a theme; KH Muslim Rifai Imampuro and his National Role in the Socio-Political Dynamics of Indonesia 1965-2012. Kiai Muslim Rifai Imampuro or commonly called Mbah Liem is a kharsimatik and eccentric kiai who lives and lives in the village of Karanganom, Klaten, Central Java. Interestingly, despite living in the village area, he is famous for his officials and heads of government. Starting from President Soeharto, Abdurrahman Wahid, and Megawati. Mbah Liem is a kiai figure who is often active in various sociopolitical dynamics of the Indonesian nation. Various ideas and ideas of struggle continue to be used to this day. This thesis is a combination of field research and literature using the historical method, which includes four steps namely heuristic, verification, interpretation, and historiography. The approach used in historical research, more precisely the history of these figures is the biographical approach. An approach about the life of someone who tries to see and understand his life in society, its influence, role, ideas, ideas, and position. This study uses Kuntowijoyo's theory of biographical research, starting from the personality of a character, social strength, the description of his era, and the fortune of a character. Meanwhile, to see the position and role of Mbah Liem, also assisted by Soerjono Soekanto's theory. The results of the study are: first, Mbah Liem is the figure of a kiai who still has royal blood from Surakarta Hadiningrat Sunanate. The silence was reached Raja Pakubowono III. Mbah Liem's grandfather was Imampuro, a great scholar in the Surakarta Kasunanan palace environment. He moved and settled in Hamlet Sumberejo, Klaten, Central Java. Mbah Liem built a boarding school in Sumberejo and became a transformative kiai in the village. Second, the role of Mbah Liem in the socio-political dynamics of Indonesia had begun since the period of the physical revolution maintaining independence, eradicating the PKI, until entering the New Order government and the reform era. The idea is that NKRI Harrga Mati and Pancasila Sakti. Third, the persistence of Mbah Liem in defending the nation, especially maintaining Pancasila and the Unitary Republic of Indonesia is inseparable from the principle that he holds that the state and nation are inherited. The kiai and founders of the nation have bequeathed this nation so that we take good care and care.
