Abstract

Comparative studies related to the comparison of static routing protocols and OSPF dynamic routing have been carried out in various places, both using simulations and real on network devices. However, in the environment of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta State Islamic University, there has never been a comparative study related to the performance of the two routing. This research was conducted in the form of modeling (simulation) using the EVE-NG application. Network performance testing is performed using QoS parameters including Throughput, Packet loss, Delay, and Jitter. From the results of the two routing tests obtained values include the normal protocol routing protocol throughput of 598,10Bps and OSPF of 598,34Bps, while the busy scenario for static routing is 598,82Bps and OSPF of 597,58Bps. Normal packet routing scenario static routing protocol is 0,23% and OSPF is 0,27% and busy scenario is static routing 0,24% and OSPF is 0,26%. Normal delay scenarios for static routing protocols are 59,39ms and OSPF are 59,36ms, while busy scenarios for static routing protocols are 59,32ms and OSPF are 59,44ms. Jitter uses normal static routing protocol scenarios of 0,98ms and OSPF of 0,98ms and busy scenarios of static routing of 0,98ms and OSPF of 0,99ms. QoS parameters show that throughput and delay static routing is more optimal than dynamic OSPF routing in busy scenarios, whereas packet loss and jitter are more optimal static routing in normal and busy scenarios.
