Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know accessibility for people with disabilities in the libraries in yogyakarta city region has implemented the applicable rules and regulations, also collected data about fulfilling accessibility for persons with disabilities in libraries in the Yogyakarta City region. The accessibility recearch reffering to government regulation that covering facilities; space of library, the track to the library, guidance track, parking area, door, ramp/stairs, lift, toilet, equipment and control equipment/furnishings, guidance and signpost. The goal of the research is to find out accessibility for disability in library, how facilities supply was filled appropriate with regulation. The method in this research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used in this research are documentation, observation, and interviews. This research used 2 informants to be interviewed and a documentation tool for notes and a voice recording device. To analyze the data the researcher used Miles and Huberman's theory with three steps (1) data reduction, (2) data presentation, and (3) conclusion. Result of recearch made conclucion that accesisibility facilities supply for disabilities in two libraries are Perpustakaan Kota Jogja and Perputakaan Kolsani Yogyakarta, will discribe as follows; facilities completeness for disabilities are not be prepared among others; guidance track, guidance and signpost, ram, stairs, difable corner, lift, and toilet. Suggestion in this recearch recommended to library official to fulfill library facilities related to the regulation.
