Abstract

Fiscal sustainability describes the condition of a healthy government budget which the government can fund expenditure without adding the supply of debt. The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of macroeconomic variabels to fiscal sustainability which in this study as a proxy fiscal sustainability of the government's budget deficit. The data used in this study is the 2004Q1- 2018Q4 period time series data using Vector Error Correction Model (VECM). The results of the study indicate that fiscal conditions in Indonesia are sustainable and macroekonomic variables such as domestic debt, inflation, exchange rates and crude oil prices positive effect of increasing government budget deficits. While the variabel state revenues and foreign debt negatively effects the government budget deficit.
