Abstract

This research aims at determining the impact of the operation expenses, ratakaful contribution, claim risk, exchange rate, inflation rate, and BI rate of the proportion of tabarru‟ funds of Islamic life insurance companies. Sampling is conducted by purposive technique to get 69 data from different sources of data and periods, with the final sample of 22 Islamic life insurance companies during 2015-2018. The method of analysis used in this research is multiple linier regression using unbalanced panel data run by using e-views 10. The result showed that claim risk has a positive and significant impact, while retakaful contribution and operation expenses has a negative significant impact on the proportion of tabarru‟ funds. Meanwhile, macroeconomic variables, namely exchange rate, inflation rate and BI rate have no significant influence towards proportion of tabarru‟ funds.
