Abstract
Some studies found that good quality academic service shows positive influences towards students’ duration of study and their motivation. This paper analyses and explains on how universities should consider the importance of student satisfaction on the academic services. The study used academic service satisfaction questionnaire which is different from previous studies, it covers various dimensions of academic service measurement. This article analyses overall students’ satisfaction in six Indonesian Islamic universities (N = 315) using Rasch analysis. The instrument quality was investigated showing adequately valid and reliable. The six dimensions of academic service showing different difficulty level were facilities and ancillary service dimension are something to be improved. Students’ demographic variable also response differently for the academic service in the analysis of variance result as well as in different item functioning (DIF) analysis.
