Abstract

This study aims to find out about the digital literacy competencies of the weblog content creator of library science’s alumni of State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta based on European Commission’s DigComp 2.1 Framework (2017). The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection methods used in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The technique of determining informants using purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used in this study was the data analysis model of Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the three informants taken had carried out and mastered almost all competencies in the five competency areas in DigComp 2.1 in their own way and were correct according to theory. From the analysis of the research results, the researcher concluded that informant 1 has strength in terms of photography which is included in the field of Digital Content Creation, informant 2 in terms of writing that is included in Digital Content Creation, and informant 3 can generally master the existing competencies even though the content is made not as many as 2 other informants. However, each informant also still has shortcomings, therefore researchers provide advice to informant 1 to improve collaboration competence through digital technology, informant 2 on programming competence and solving technical problems, and informant 3 on collaboration competence through digital technology and developing digital content. That way, the content they create and the blogs they manage in the future can be better, creative, informative, entertaining, inspiring, and of higher quality.
