Abstract

This study aims to determine how information literacy affects discussions among members of the Akar Rumput Community in the Pelataran Tugu of the Yogyakarta. This research uses descriptive and associative research methods with data collection techniques using a questionnaire (questionnaire). This study used 40 samples taken from a population of 40. Measurement data in this study using. using Rating Scale while for data analysis this research uses Simple Linear Regression. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of information literacy skills on discussions among members of the Akar Rumput Community in the Pelataran Tugu of the Yogyakarta. Furthermore, it is known that the average value of the information literacy ability of Akar Rumput members is said to be quite good (70%), while for discussion it is known that the average value is in a bad category (35%). Furthermore, it is known that the square value is 70.6%, meaning that there is a positive influence on information literacy skills on discussions among members of the Akar Rumput Community in the Pelataran Tugu of the Yogyakarta. Through this research, it is hoped that Community Members will also need to improve their information literacy skills because information literacy skills are very important in the era of digital globalization. This members of the Akar Rumput Community will be able to select and select relevant and quality information according to the needs of Akar Rumput Community members.
