Abstract

Contract employees in some cases usually do not show a good commitment attitude such as permanent employees in general, because contract employees who do not work regularly and can be terminated by the company they work for, while the contract employees at Pamella 9 show the opposite, they are still able to work well and show their commitment, whereas the company and contract employees maintain their working relationship for a long period of time. In addition, there are also gaps in previous research related to psychological contracts and affective commitments. This research study was conducted, to obtain information related to transactional & relational psychological contract relationship with affective commitment to employees with joint employment contract status at Toko Pamella 9 Gunungkidul Yogyakarta. The study was conducted on employees who were entirely contractual, with a population of about 124 people to be surveyed. The data measurement instruments used are relational psychological contract scale, transactional & affective commitment scale. Then to take the sample using random sampling cluster technique, while analyzing the data using double regression method. As for the results of this research study: There is a significant simultaneous relationship of the two psychological contracts namely transactional & relational with affective commitment to employees with joint employment contract status in Pamella 9 shop, where the value of significance is 0.000 < 0.05. Then the transactional psychological contract has no significant relationship with the affective commitment, shown with a value of sig. 0.320 > 0.05, and finally the relational psychological contract has a significant relationship to the affective commitment, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. From the results together, the contribution of relational & transactional psychological contracts with affective commitments was 47.7%, while the remaining 52.6% was influenced by other variables outside the study.
