Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between online game addiction and stress levels in adolescents out of X. The subjects of this study were adolescents in X village, Sleman Regency, D.I Yogyakarta Province. The sample of this research is adolescents who live in X with the total number of subjects as many as 55 adolescents. The data collection method in this study used an online game addiction scale and a stress level scale. Data analysis was performed using the Spearman Rho correlation technique. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant positive relationship between the variable online game addiction and stress levels with rxy (correlation coefficient) of 0.247 with a significance level (p) of 0.000 (p <0.01). This means that there is a significant relationship between online game addiction and the stress level of adolescents in X village, where the higher the online game addiction, the higher the stress level. Conversely, the lower the addiction to online games, the lower the stress level.
