Abstract
The Qur'an interpretation using the appreciation ofjustice values and gender equity has become both pushing element and vision to the emergence offeminist type ofthe eur'anic exegesis among contemporary Muslims intellectual. This article discusses the core principals both used as the basis and the setting of ideas on the development of feminist tafsir and how it is discussed in the beginning of 2lth century. As a relatively new type of discourse, the feminist tafsir is interesting to note even further since its strong tendency to gender equity both in the context of ontology, epistemology and axiology.
