Abstract

The development of digital technology has led to a new parenting style known as digital parenting. This parenting focuses on adjusting parenting to children's habits of accessing digital technology, which in its application involves a value held by parents. This study aims to explore the values of religiosity in digital parenting with a case study approach in Muslim and Catholic families. The subjects in this study are families who have introduced their children to digital technology since childhood. The result of this research is the value of religiosity in parenting, which is in the form of belief / faith in God accompanied by the practice of religious rites (worship), and learning morals / behavior. Parents tend to use religion as a basis in parenting (sanctification), which is used to control children's habits in using digital technology, behave properly and accordingly, and build positive emotional relationships between parents and children
