Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know how parenting use in dropouts children and parenting factors. This study using qualitative with case study methods. Data collection using methods of observation and interviews are conducted on two families with dropout children and are able to use consent as supporting data. The selection of research informant uses purposive sampling where sampling is based on certain criteria that which had a family complete and having a children drop out school. The results reveal how parenting have dropout children and parenting factors. The parenting used is a pattern of democratic and permissive parenting, both informants are trying to motivate the children and continue to pay attention to them, many of which influence parenting, background and education, relationships Family, socio-economic as well as the environment or culture of the surrounding community that affects, the concept of parents about children. In addition, parents also see how the child condition so as to adjust the parenting that is given to the child and the role of parents who are good for children, because the behavior and deeds of the parents will be imitated by children.
