Abstract

This research was motivated by the absence of a website-based condenser temperature monitoring system in the essential oil distillation process. This research aimed to design, manufacture and test a temperature monitoring system based on a website, a MCU Node microcontroller and a DS18B20 sensor. This research was conducted in three stages, namely the design, manufacture and testing of the system. The system design was done using Google Sketchup and Proteus. The system was made using a MCU Node microcontroller, DS18B20 sensor and website as the viewer. The monitoring system will monitor temperatures from 20 ℃ to 60 ℃ so that the range must be in the system test. System testing was done by varying the temperature value from 15 ℃ to 100 ℃ by taking data every 5 ℃ increment, then the data was processed to obtain accuracy and precision. The monitoring system website testing was carried out by asking 36 respondents the value of satisfaction, then the data was processed to obtain a usability index. Website based condenser temperature monitoring system has been successfully made using a MCU Node microcontroller and DS18B20 sensor. The monitoring system test results obtained an accuracy value of 99.99%, a precision value of 97.06% and an usability index of 86.51%.
