Abstract

Scheduling of teaching in schools is a very important decision-making process for managing teaching and learning activities for the next year. Some rules that must be met, in this thesis called constraint, make the scheduling process complicated and sometimes difficult for the scheduler. One solution to solve scheduling problems is to use genetic algorithms. Genetic algorithm is a search algorithm to find the best solution through a particular reproduction process. In this thesis the reproduction rules used are crossover and mutation, and elitism is used to maintain the best individual. This thesis builds an application with the java programming language that applies genetic algorithms to complete the teaching scheduling process at MTs Muhammadiyah Sigaluh.
