Abstract

PT. Pandatex is a company engaged in the textile industry with raw materials derived from fibers. Product selection based on supplier offer makes it difficult for the company to make choices in accordance with the classification of quality and production needs. Therefore, determining cotton products is needed for PT. Pandatex to fit the production needs and specifications of the desired cotton on demand quickly and effectively. To help companies in determining cotton products, we need a system that can provide recommendations. This recommendation system is created by applying the fuzzy Tahani model of database method with parameters such as fiber strength, fiber length, fiber fineness, price, quantity, and shipment. The method used to find the value of a level through the process of fuzzification and find the value of recommendations or fire strength. The results of this study were carried out with a case trial on a system calculation that resulted in 4 ratings of cotton products, with the name USA MOT Recaps with a value of 0.177, USA South Texas Recaps with a value of 0.1753, USA M / E Recaps with a value of 0.0853 and USA M/E Recaps with a value of 0.0286. Overall the system that has been built can provide recommendations to PT. Pandatex consists of the value of fire strength in each cotton product.
