Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between family strengths and quality school of life on the disciplinary character of students. This research was conducted at one of the state junior high schools in Yogyakarta with a sample of 220 students. The sampling technique in this study was accidental sampling. The data collection tools in this study were a discipline character scale that had an alpha coefficient of 0.924, a family strengths scale that had an alpha coefficient of 0.934 and a quality school of life scale which had an alpha coefficient of 0.937. The statistical analysis technique used is in the form of multiple regression analysis techniques. The analysis showed that there was a positive influence between family strengths and quality school of life with a significance value of 0.001 (P <0.05). Family strengths and quality school of life together gave an effective contribution to disciplinary character by 44,9%, while family strengths made an effective contribution of 3,8% and quality school of life gave an effective contribution of 41,1%.
