Abstract
This research aimed at proving the existence The Effect of Kolecer to Interest in Reading Development in Archive and Library of Banjar City. Type of this research is descriptive quantitative research. The subject of this research were user of Archive and Library of Banjar City and the object were the effect of Kolecer to interest in reading development in Archive and Library of Banjar City. Variabel in research were Kolecer (independent variable) and interest in reading (the dependent variable). Methods of data collection using qustionnaires, documentation, interviews, and observation. The analysis was performed with the hypothesis test product moment correlation and the data were analyze by mean formula. Results of the analysis showed that the Kolecer in the Archive and Library of Banjar City in both categories, as evidenced from the calculation of mean and grand mean of 3,12. Results of the analysis showed that the interest in reading in the Archive and Library of Banjar City in high categories, as evidenced from the calculation of mean and grand mean of 3,42. The correlation rate is said to be signification with a value 0,227. Direction of positive relation and quite influental relation level with interval coefficient correlation between 0,20 – 0,40. The author suggest to the librarian ini order to improve the program must upgrade the Kolecer program they have so that the interest reading can be better.
