Abstract

This study aimsto explain about interpersonal communication in married couples young.. Obstacles face dby couple in an effort to maintain household harmony. The subject consists of three informants of the husband or wife domiciled n the village of Jatimulyo, Yogyakarta. The subject is a couple who constantly keep the harmony and have had offspring. The researcher used descriptive qualitative, the collection of data by observation,in depth interviews an the study of literature. Instrumen collection of data use list of interview questions. Data were analyzed by the method of Rogert in his Arni. The results showed that that in general the communication in characterized by the presence of mutual respect, empathy, opennes, support each other, meet directly and mannerisms that believe full communication barriers consist of physical barriers, psycology and conflict.
