Abstract

Juvenile delinquency is one of the social problems among the younger generation. One of the social problems is the case of free sex which causes unwanted pregnancy to abortion. The role of parents is needed by children to provide information about free sex as a preventive measure. One of the ways parents prevent casual sex is persuasive communication with persuasive communication techniques. The purpose of this study is to describe how persuasive communication is used by parents in preventing casual sex. The type of research method used is descriptive qualitative method with data collection through interviews, participant observation and documentation with purposive sampling technique. The results of this study are persuasive communication with persuasive communication techniques used by parents that lead to free sex through persuasive communication techniques that have succeeded in making children stay away from free sex.
