Abstract

Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University Yogyakarta as a State educational institution has a scholarship program for students. Each scholarship has its own criteria and weights depending on the type of scholarship. The problem that often arises when selecting scholarship recipients is the difficulty in determining the best recommendation for prospective scholarship recipients. The decision making process in this case is needed. However, in general decision making is often difficult to find the right method of problem solving in a case. This study uses the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method because the AHP method is often used to solve complex multi criteria decision problems and in accordance with the input process variables of GPA values, parental income, semesters, number of dependents of parents and age. It is expected to be able to provide facilities for the university to get the best recommendation for prospective scholarship recipients. System testing is done by comparing manual calculations using Microsoft Excel and system calculations. The results of this study indicate that the system calculation is the same as the results of manual calculations and the results of functionality testing show that the system is functioning 100% and the system access test shows that 60% of respondents strongly agree and 40% of respondents agree with the ease of the system that has been built.
