Abstract

In the success of good Village-owned Enterprises (BUMDes) development strategy, it’s not only looking for financial benefits but must also provide benefits for the local community. This study aims to identify and analyze the factors that influence the success of BUMDes development in suburban areas. This study uses a quantitative explanative approach, with independent variables including type of business, quality of workforce, marketing strategy, capital and local community empowerment. The population in this study is the Village Institution which includes the Village Head, Village Apparatus, Village Consultative Body, BUMDes Management and BUMDes Supervisor of each village in the suburb of Sleman Regency, namely 46 people. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with a statistical model using Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. Type of business, quality of workforce, marketing strategy, capital and empowerment of local communities simultaneously have a significant effect on the development of BUMDes in suburban areas. The variables of the quality of labor and capital have a positive effect. Type of business, marketing strategy, and empowerment of local communities do not affect the BUMDes development strategy in suburban areas.
