Abstract

This study explains how the influence of provincial minimum wages/regional minimum wages, road infrastructure, electricity infrastructure, exports, and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on Foreign Investment in the ten provinces receiving the most capital in Indonesia, namely North Sumatra, Riau, South Sumatra, DKI Jakarta, Central Java, East Java, West Java, Banten, Bali, and Papua in 2010 to 2018. Foreign investors usually invest their capital in areas that have high potential in the advancement of the region and adequate resources for capital to be invested produce optimal results. For regions that receive capital can accelerate or become a supporter to increase various sectors in the regional economy. This research uses quantitative methods and secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency. This study uses panel data regression with the best model approach, the Fixed Effect Model (FEM), to find out how much influence the independent variable has on the dependent variable, namely PMA (Foreign Investment). Based on the F test results obtained, showed that in general the five independent variables have significant influence on FDI. Whereas the results of the T test indicate that the minimum wage variable, the electricity infrastructure and GRDP variable has significant effect on FDI. The independent variable of export and road infrastructure has no effect on PMA.
