Abstract

Bantul regency is located in the south of special region of Yogyakarta, which close to the subduction zone.The earthquake in Yogyakarta on May 27th 2006 had made destruction of the infrastructure. Sediment thickness is one of the soil conditions that affects the response of buildings on the surface when an earthquake occurs. The method used the Schlumberger configuration geoelectric method. The acquisition process of the schlumberger configuration geoelectric method in this study was carried out with a current cable length (AB / 2) of 100 meters at each measurement point and obtained data on electric current and potential. Schlumberger geoelectric measurement data is processed using Progress software and Arcgis software. The data from field measurements are processed using Progress software and the actual resistivity value is obtained. The results of the Progress software were analyzed by looking at the resistivity value of the geological building blocks of the study area. Data interpretation was carried out by grouping the resistivity value of the analysis results into various rock types with their depth at each measurement point. Based on the results of processing and interpretation of the study area data the resistivity value are 4,7 Ωm s.d 265,55 Ωm and the depth of the sediment 26,22 -52,77 m below the surface. The sediment depth in the study area was mapped using Arcgis.
