Abstract
Biomolecule detection can be done in various ways, one of which is by observing the SPR (Surface Plasmon Resonance) phenomenon. This research was motivated to build this tool. UIN Sunan Kalijaga wants Biomolecule detection can be done in various ways, one of which is by observing SPR (Surface Plasmon Resonance). This study aims to design a system based on the SPR phenomenon Kretchmann’s configuration in the Integrated Laboratory of UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The stages of this research consisted of the stages of preparing tools and materials, the stage of setting-up the system, and the stages of testing the system with the Kretchmann’s configuration Prism / Gold (Au) / Air configuration. The system set-up has been successfully done, then the system testing on each supporting device has shown good performance. Observation of the SPR angle on the SPR system with the Prism / Gold (Au) / Air sensing section has shown an SPR angle on the reflectance to angle graph, which is at an angle of 47.00 ° ± 0.05 °. The angle or % error of SPR in a Prism / Gold (Au) / Air layer configuration is 1.67%.
