Abstract

The background of this research is that many online commerce businessmen do not properly learn about trading before starting their business. Both state and religion laws. Currently, online commerce businessmen are still trapped in a way of thinking that is only oriented towards taking unnatural profits. Researcher found different things when looking at commerce from a philosophical perspective, especially in the perspective of Al-Ghazali. The perspective of Al-Ghazali emphasized that in the business field the concept of ethics must be brought up, even considered very important to be included. The theory used in this research was Al-Ghazali's perspective towards trading ethics which includes; 1. Knowledge before action, 2. Maximizing profits is not a virtue, 3. Fair and caring for stakeholders, 4. Creating goodness for many parties. The results of this research indicate that: 1. Online commerce that runs has many choices of platforms that can be used to offer goods or products to be sold. Making it easier for someone to sell or buy goods without meeting in person. 2. The results of the application of ethics in online commerce in the perspective of Al-Ghazali by the relevant sources (online businessmen and online customers), they have made efforts to base ethics when making a transactions. Both which include knowledge before action, maximizing profits is not a virtue, being fair and caring for stakeholders and creating goodness for many parties. They have instilled those four elements in the concept of the transaction that being carried out. But in fact, sometimes there are still deviations in trading. Whether caused by the seller or the online customer. Of course this is very contrary to Al-Ghazali's perspective.
