Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation between the aspirations of learning and the discipline of learning in students of the Science High School class X Wahid Hasyim Islamic boarding school. The population of subjects in this study were 150 students of class X Wahid Hasyim High School and the samples taken in this study were 90 students, samples taken using cluster sampling techniques. This study uses a quantitative correlation method by connecting two different variables. Retrieval of research subject data uses research scale sheets to be distributed to research subjects based on their class. Data collection techniques using the scale of learning aspirations and learning discipline scale. Data analysis uses Pearson product moment correlation techniques. The results of data analysis showed the value of the hypothesis test had a correlation coefficient of R = 0.209 with a significance of P = 0.049, while the effective contribution seen from R-Square was 0.43 or equivalent to 43%, while the remaining 57% was due to other factors. These results indicate a significant correlation between learning aspirations and the discipline of learning in students Wahid Hasyim Yogyakarta High School of Scienc.
