Abstract

In 2020 the world will experience a coronavirus outbreak that attacks all countries including Indonesia, while in Indonesia all provinces have cases of the spread of Covid 19, where the presence of Covid 19 can result in death and have an impact on all human activities including; health, economy, physiology, welfare, and social. However, this can be overcome with prevention, namely by raising public awareness to implement health protocols. In line with that Muhammadiyah as the largest organization in Indonesia created the MCCC (Muhammadiyah Covid Command Center) organization by providing a forum and Muhammadiyah efforts to tackle Covid in Indonesia. Implementing health protocols in the community and in the family is not easy. Therefore, to raise public awareness so that implementing health protocols requires the role of the government and organizations in an effort to educate the public. Where the existence of Covid 19 makes the community experience difficulties in terms of health, economy, physiology, welfare, plus the lack of public understanding with the application of health protocols is one of the factors in the increasing spread of Covid 19 in Bengkulu. This is what makes the author interested in knowing more about the organizational communication process carried out by MCCC Bengkulu, especially the involvement of volunteers in activities and programs of the MCCC Bengkulu. In this study the authors used a descriptive qualitative research type with the determination of the subject using snowball sampling. And data collection techniques were carried out using interview techniques, observation and documentation as secondary data validation. The results of this study indicate that MCCC Bengkulu is participating in an effort to educate and assist the community in implementing health protocols. Through the Bengkulu MCCC education, the board and members can make efforts to educate (prevent) COVID 19 in Bengkulu, so that the Bengkulu people can apply health protocols and maintain environmental cleanliness, food security through which the spread of COVID 19 can be overcome.
