Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the spirit of work, cooperation, and manners of the Islamic Kejawen community in the Adiraja hamlet that exceeds the general public, everything that the Islamic Kejawen community did was solely to carry out the Kepungan tradition which had been carried out from generation to generation by their ancestors. Besides, this research aims to explore or take the values of Islamic education in the tradition of the Javanese Islamic community siege in the Adiraja hamlet so that what is contained in it can change people's perceptions about the Javanese Islamic sect which is known by other communities as a deviant sect or not following the Islamic teaching. This research is qualitative, using observation, interview, and documentation methods. This research uses a descriptive-analytic technique, which is to collect information about the status of a variable or theme, symptoms, or existing conditions regarding the values of Islamic education in the Kepungan tradition of the Javanese Islamic Community at the Adiraja hamlet Cilacap. In this study, the subjects studied were people who understood and were active in tradition Kayimor people who led prayers in Islam, and people who followed Islam Kejawen or their children and grandchildren in Adiraja hamlet. The results of the research are:firstly, Kepungan tradition in the Adiraja hamlet is still surviving because of the regeneration from children to adulthood being introduced directly to the activities so that there is a sense of love for the tradition, the implementation of all parties who carry out Kepungan tradition does not feel forced, whoever the community is allowed to follow Kepungan traditions as long as they are willing to accept, respect, and appreciate every existing ritual and the values contained therein.Second,the way the Kejawen Islamic comunitu in maintain the siege tradition is the elders always provide understanding in implementation, each parent gives an understanding of the road in implementation, the community always obeys the message from their ancestors and is supported by rules from the government that every tradition that develops in society is the wealth of the nation. Third the values of Islamic education in the Kepungan tradition include love values, cooperation values, ethical values, tolerance values, religious values, gratitude values, genealogical values, pangeling-eling values, and loyalty values. With the value of Islamic education in the Kepungan tradition, the outside community will see that there is value in a tradition that they think is not following Islamic teachings.
