Abstract

Poverty in Indonesia is one of the problems in a complex and multidimensional economy. Therefore, it is necessary to explore the factors that can affect the fluctuation of poverty. This study aims to determine the effect of economic growth, minimum wages, open unemployment, and inflation on poverty in Indonesia in 2014-2019. This study uses secondary data for 6 years from 2014- 2019. The method of analysis used in this research is multiple regression analysis to determine the effect of changes in one variable on other variables, the data used in this study are time series data in Indonesia from 2014-2019 and cross section data taken from data in 34 provinces in Indonesia 2014-2019. Based on the results of the research analysis, it is found that economic growth has a significant positive effect on poverty, minimum wages have a negative and significant effect on poverty, the open unemployment rate has a positive and significant effect on poverty and inflation has a negative and significant effect on poverty in Indonesia.
