Abstract

This research was conducted based on the background of the teacher's ability in teaching pedagogikal competence of teachers who are not from an LPTK background and also not an early childhood education background so that they are able to teach effectively and achieve learning goals. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of teacher pedagogikal competence in effective learning in TK Khalifah Aceh 3. This study used a qualitative method, the data source in this study consisted of the principal and three teachers. Among them are Kindergarten A teachers, Kindergarten B teachers, and playgroup teachers. And some documentation results in the learning process as well as when conducting interviews at TK Khalifah Aceh 3. Collecting data in the study using interview techniques, observation and documentation. Data analysis was performed through data reduction procedures, data presentation and data verification and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the presentation and analysis of research data, it can be seen that; 1) The pedagogikal competence of teachers at TK Khalifah Aceh 3 has been carried out well which consists of seven components, including mastering students, mastering learning theory and teaching learning principles, curriculum development, educational learning activities, developing student potential, communication with students, and evaluation of learning outcomes; 2) The effectiveness of learning in TK Khalifah Aceh 3 has been carried out well so that teachers are able to direct and motivate students, provide learning experiences, and develop all student personalities; 3) The school's efforts to increase teacher pedagogikal competence, one of which is the way the school principal supervises the classroom, and will hold an upgrade or seminar for teachers to improve the quality of teachers in the learning process. For now TK Khalifah Aceh 3 has not included educators in terms of seminars or upgrades because of the current pandemic conditions.
