Abstract

The existence of the Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) outbreak that hit more than 200 countries in the world, presents its own challenges for educational institutions. Such conditions require educational institutions to innovate in the learning process. One form of this innovation is by learning online or online (in a network). Dragonleran is a medium that can be used to help online learning, especially in elementary school mathematics. This study aims to determine the optimization of learning during the Covid-19 pandemic and to find out how the application of dragonlearn online learning at MI Ma'had Islam Kopeng. This research uses a qualitative approach, in the research data collection techniques using the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. There were 41 research subjects, including the principal, 12 classroom teachers, and 28 Class IIA students of MI Ma'had Islam Kopeng. The stages in this research include the pre-field stage, the fieldwork stage, and the data analysis stage including: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study concluded that: 1) Optimization of learning during the pandemic was carried out in several ways, including online and offline (home visits, assignments, face to face). 2) Online learning is carried out using the dragonlearn application. Dragonlearn is an online Mathematics learning platform with an interactive curriculum for grades 1-6. 3) The advantage of using Dragonlearn is that it can be accessed easily wherever the place is, learning time is flexible, students become more active and more confident in asking through chat, students can increase knowledge, students can find learning experiences with new things, fun learning like games make students not easily bored, and the types of questions that repeat themselves when answering the wrong answer make students not easily give up. The drawbacks of using the Dragonlearn application are that if students do not have cellphones, it will certainly hinder learning, limited internet access, students' understanding of limited material, lack of supervision in learning, dragonlearn can be done by parents without the knowledge of the teacher, increasing expenses for buying packages, and teacher and student interactions limited so that learning cannot run optimally.
