Abstract

One of the tertiary institutions in the quality development process is STAIT Jogja. As an Islamic tertiary institution and a cadre of the BIAS Foundation, STAIT Jogja still experiences obstacles such as accreditation of majors that are still C, incomplete facilities and others. Therefore, various programs are developed to create quality institutions. The program was developed based on university management and analyzed using the perspective of maqashid al-syariah. This research is included in qualitative research. The data collection using the method of observation, interviews, and documentation and data validity techniques using triangulation. The results showed: (1) The process of higher education management applied at STAIT Jogja began with planning, organizing, mobilizing and supervising, which then gave birth to various programs (2) Reasons for the importance of program development namely a. internal factors: strengthen the institution strengthen the work team, leaders and managerial, b. external factors: following government regulations, response to community needs and the need for regeneration of the BIAS network (3) Analysis of the management program of higher education in STAIT Jogja The perspective of maqashid al-syariah includes: a. Hifz al-din such as the habit of praying in congregation, Ramadan programs and others; b. Hifz alNafs such as boarding programs, UKM and BEM activities and others; c. Hifz al‘aql is learning in lectures, scientific journals and others; d. Hifz al-nasl such as regeneration for instructors and managers of the BIAS Foundation, student orientation and so on; e. Hifz al-maal namely infaq program, Baitul Maal wa Tamwil (BMT) and others (4) Program recommendations based on the perspective of maqashid al-syariah namely a. Hifz al-din: fiqh practices and PHBI activities; b. Hifz al-Nafs: holding arts and culture UKM and sports UKM; c. Hifz al-qaq: Comparative study abroad and learning foreign languages (English and Arabic); d. Hifz al-nasl: learning marriage material and increasing marketing; e. Hifz al-maal: completing facilities and infrastructure as well as student cooperatives.
